HTML Coded Dreams
Had another one of my HTML dreams. They’re starting to amaze me so I thought I’d share these dreams with you. In 2006 I started this WordPress blog and began developing themes for the WordPress community. On average it takes me about fourteen hours of non-stop coding to complete a W3C valid theme. I’ve developed twelve themes in the past six years and I’ve only released five to the WordPress community. If you know how to develop websites then you know how much trial and error is involved. However, I have dreams of code (I know this is really nerdy) that completely cancel out the involvement of trial and error. Let me explain. Whenever I can’t correct and validate code, I tend to get designer’s/developer’s block. And the more I try to correct that code the more my mind gets blocked. The only way I know how to prevent that is to just sleep on it and try again the following morning knowing I’ll wake up knowing the correct code because I’ll dream of it. I’ll sleep seeing the invalid code in my head, dream of the valid code and wake up remembering it. I’ll type in the code, test it and VOILA! The code is correct and validated. Crazy right? I’ve had so many of these dreams. Had one last night and it’s just now starting to amaze me. I’m a fucking nerd.
Creativity & PHP
Went to Barnes & Noble today to buy my mom a gift card. She likes to read and she’s almost finished with the current book she’s reading so I thought it’d be a good Mother’s Day gift that wasn’t cliche. Checked out the books in the web design section while I was there and decided to upgrade my knowledge & creativity in web design. I’ve actually been wanting to get into PHP for some time now, but I never really did anything about it. So, I start today. Now or never. Hopefully after reading this book I become a badass web designer because I really need to start making some good money off of this… now that the USAF is kind of out of my future..
