Day 3 — Your parents

In all honesty, I don’t know where to start with this one. I’ve never really been asked about my parents unless it was like another family member asking, “Hey hows your mom and dad doing?” I guess I’ll start it with bullets.

Mom
Sean & Mom

Mom (Evangeline Pagatpatan)
- Filipino
- 45 years old
- 4’10″
- For most of my life I’ve only been living with my mom. My mom and dad split up a long ass time ago when I was about nine. It was kind of difficult living with her because she was strict in so many ways. Nowadays, it’s a lot easier living with her because I pretty much can live my own life. Still can’t wait to move out of her house though lol. I want TRUE freedom for myself.

Dad
Perry & Dad

Dad (Richard Crooks)
- Filipino
- 45 years old
- 5’5″
- I love my Dad. He’s done a lot for me even though he hasn’t been living with me. There was a point in my life where I didn’t see him for a few years. That was a shitty time. Nobody in my family would give me his contact info even when they knew it because they thought he’d be a bad influence on me. If I had the balls to cuss at my relatives back then I’d say, “You’re full of bullshit,” whenever they told me he’d be a bad influence. That was seriously a bullshit thing to say. They pretty much said that I couldn’t think for myself and that’s what made me mad.
